1. Are you licensed and by whom?
Yes, Compassionate Home Care is fully licensed by the State of North Carolina. Our license number is 1814. We are a family owned and operated business, serving Henderson, Buncombe, Transylvania and Polk Counties since 1997.
2. I’m uncomfortable having someone in my home. How do you screen your employees?
We conduct extensive background checks on all our staff, including FBI checks. All caregivers are fully bonded. But most important, you will have the opportunity to interview your caregiver and must give your approval before he or she begins.
3. How do I know if I need an in-home aide or a registered nurse or someone in-between? And what if my situation changes?
Before we send a caregiver to your home, we provide a free in-home screening. This will help you assess your needs and enable us to make the right recommendations to you. Then Compassionate Home Care will continuously monitor your situation to ensure your needs are being met.
4. How will the caregiver know what to do?
Caregivers receive specific instructions from our director of nursing concerning your health-care needs as well as your preferences. In addition with Compassionate Home Care, you receive continuity of care. That means the same person takes care of you throughout the contract. This allows both of you to establish a routine and become comfortable with one another.

5. Do you accept Medicare?
Our fees generally run about 30 to 50 percent less than our competitors because we do not accept Medicare. If you need a home health service that takes Medicare, give us a call or e-mail us, and we can inform you of several in the area.
6. How do we afford home health care?
Home health care is a lot less expensive than spending time in a hospital or nursing facility, so many insurance policies today cover the cost. In any case, let us know your situation. This is our field. We’re glad to help you find a way to afford the care you need. If we can’t help you, we’ll try to find someone who can.
